2018 Mazda6 Gets Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™

The 2018 Mazda6 will include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Mazda has announced that it will begin offering Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ functionality for certain Mazda6 models this September via an update that can be installed for free at Gossett Mazda.


The 2018 Mazda6 Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature will receive the upgrade at no additional cost, adding Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ in addition to an update for the MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system and a new 2.1-amp USB port for faster charging. This service can be performed in two hours and is completely free of charge.

This will make the 2018 Mazda6 the first Mazda in the United States to offer Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, making it simpler for smartphone users to make hands-free calls, stream music, and access their favorite apps.
