Sept. 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Memphis Botanic Gardens
Join the Memphis Botanic Gardens in celebrating Japanese heritage and culture through this family-friendly festival, which offers half-price admission to the grounds. Enjoy everything from educational lectures to sumo-suit wrestling.
Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Orpheum Theatre
The Memphis Symphony Orchestra will bring the magic of Harry Potter to the stage through a live performance of the first film’s official soundtrack.
Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Overton Park
An annual family festival held by Overton Park Conservancy, A Day of Merry Making event will feature live entertainment from musical artists and dance troupes, as well as food trucks, a beer garden, a market for local arts and crafts vendors, and even a canine fashion show.
Oct. 12-14, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Audubon Park
Celebrate your local craftsman and artists at the annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair, which is coming to Memphis for its 46th year. It’s also a fundraiser run by Friends of the Pink Palace, with all proceeds going to the museum.
Oct. 27-28, Riverside Drive
Mighty Lights will be putting on a spectacular bridge light display during this year’s RiverArts Fest, which aims to show off over 180 artists who will be bringing their wares to the festival.
